Rose Vortex
This is an 18 x 24 inch Gouache painting on cold press paper. The artist was staying at the historic Columbia Gorge Hotel which has beautifully landscaped grounds. She was blissfully taking pictures of the roses when the gardener asked if he could show her his favorites. The flowers were so extraordinary and she knew that this shot was going to be her next painting.
